Experience

Associates degree in related area, must obtain Mechatronics certification through South Carolina State Department. Can also be a Secondary teacher with Mechatronics certification through SDE.

 

Description

Barnwell County Career Center is looking for a Mechatronics teacher to take over January 2025.

 

Responsibilities

• Daily teaching duties include class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Maintaining program certification requirements, as appropriate.
• Effectively communicates with students, parents, and other stakeholders
• Preparing and maintaining required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory areas.
• Assisting with student recruitment and retention efforts.
• Maintaining student records
• Must have at least a basic understanding of mechatronics
• Program development: Recommending course improvements and growing the number of students in the program
• Strong background in electronics, robotics, PLC’s and other related areas
• Working with the South Carolina State Department of Education to gain certification to teach Mechatronics
